Education Reformers Start New Coalition
Tony Colón, President of the Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options (HCREO), has become a signatory of the Education Equality Project.
The initiative, founded by Joel Klein, Chancellor of NYC Public Schools, and Al Sharpton, President of the National Action Network, calls attention to the abysmal performance of minorities in US public schools and proposes policies to rectify the situation. These initiatives include expanding charter schools and increasing accountability, among several others.
Mr. Colón joins other reputed reformers, including Michelle Rhee, DC’s Public Schools Chancellor, and Mike Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City.

I am very glad to read about this Education Equality project, minorities in US are suffering, it is enought, together we can improve what we have in education, minorities have the same rights than the rest of the population.
This is a very good sign or all of us that has ben looking for solutions for our students.
